Sales Development – Americas

Description of Responsibilities   

Responsible for creating new customers and sales for XMOS in Americas, to be based in Eastern US. Calls directly on target customers primarily within the Eastern region to understand customer applications and match XMOS solutions. Works with sales representative firms to achieve sales and design win goals. Provides key account penetration and works with Sales and Marketing to close major design win opportunities. Drives XMOS Marketing, Engineering, and Executives to develop solutions matching application base. Up to 50% travel to customer locations will be required.

Education and Experience Requirements

Technical degree or equivalent experience, five years sales in semiconductor or related AIoT Market.

Key Skills and Attributes Desired:

  • Knowledgeable in AI and Voice products and how they would be used within customer applications.
  • Demonstrated success in increasing customer base and sales revenue.
  • Understanding of use cases and customer base in the Smart Home, Appliance, STB, Voice, and other IoT markets.
  • Able to aggressively attack customer base to form relationships, understand customer goals, identify and contact decision-makers, and formulate strategies to create new customers and design wins.
  • Able to work effectively at all levels of the customer, including C level.
  • Understands own product portfolio extremely well and how to win relative to the competition, able to teach others the same skill.
  • Knowledgeable of customer needs, and able to communicate how customers would use products in their systems.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills for large or small groups.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Able to work with Marketing and Engineering professionals to help define products and product strategy to improve XMOS long term profitability.
  • Able to work closely with FAE resources to drive strategy.
  • Take a lead role in utilizing independent Sales Representative firms in targeted areas to help penetrate customer base.
  • Existing relationships in consumer products customer base desired; including such customers as Comcast, Google, Amazon, GE, Whirlpool, Electrolux, iRobot, Best Buy, Lenovo,, Newell, AT&T, Technicolor, Commscope, Peleton, Bose, Sonos, Philips and customers in related markets.
